Beautiful flower
I smell her fragrance sweet
See her colours bright
Feel her petals smooth

She rests in the meadow
Freely blowing in the wind
Soaking up the sunshine
Morning dew on her leaves

I want her so much
Some might say love
So I pluck her from the ground
Put her in my vase

I place her in the window
The sun on her petals
Her breath filling the room
Her presence a wonder

My flower is wilting
Her leaves are limp
Her colours faded
Her breath is gone

She stood so proud
So wild and untamed
She opened to me freely
And I cut her down
